Gemini is integrated into Chrome by Google
All desktop users in the United States now have access to Google's new Gemini integration in Chrome, which gives the browser new AI-powered features including embedded AI Mode and multi-tab context.
The specifics:
Through a dedicated button, Chrome now offers native Gemini access, enabling users to examine data and content across tabs without navigating between windows.
Later this month, Chrome's address bar will get AI Mode, allowing users to ask multi-part inquiries with follow-ups right where they currently search and navigate.
Additionally, Google gave a sneak peek at future agentic features that would manage multi-step tasks on their own, such as scheduling appointments and grocery shopping.
The AI assistant sidebar will soon become as ubiquitous as a URL box thanks to Google's integration of Gemini into its popular Chrome browser.
As rivals rushed to create new browsers from the ground up, Google's AI integration was always present and represents the largest step to far toward a widely used AI-powered surfing future.
