"Mico" improved Copilot's personality
Along with the introduction of new personalization capabilities, health initiatives, browser automation, and more, Microsoft recently held its Fall Release event and unveiled "Mico," an animated blob avatar that offers Copilot a visual personality. The specifics: Mico is an animated ball that changes color according to tone and has an Easter egg that, when repeatedly tapped, transforms it into the iconic "Clippy." Copilot offers features including connectors for new data links, Memory & Personalization for recall, and Proactive Actions for more practical assistance. Additionally, the assistant will receive Groups, which will enable real-time collaboration on AI tasks with up to 32 individuals. Health enhancements include the ability to find doctors based on personal choices and medical responses based on Harvard Health sources. Microsoft's Edge browser adds a number of new capabilities to Copilot Mode, such as Journeys for revisiting previous projects and Actions for multi-step workflows. With a new mascot/companion for the AI era, Microsoft goes back to its Clippy roots (love the Easter egg). The tech giant is creating even more of an AI identity apart from its tense relationship with OpenAI with its new personalization and "human-centered" initiatives.
